Plasticity
2016
Plasticity is a recent body of work, in which I have reclaimed discarded consumer materials, such as plastic grocery bags, as raw materials for art. Materials like plastic bags are ubiquitous and prevalent in many of our spaces and places. These dispensable materials are re-purposed as substrates for painting. The subject of my paintings consequently are landscapes where the terrestrial, celestial meet and human constructs occupy a small space in between.
